+ Residency Goals

Use this space to briefly explain any specific goals you have for your residency. Describe any projects you expect to work on while in residence, and why this residency opportunity will be particularly beneficial to you.

Please note if you have any special space or equipment needs that we should take into consideration and try to accommodate. (Up to 300 words)

See our facilities page for more information about what we can or cannot accommodate.

+ FINANCIAL AID / FELLOWSHIPS (OPTIONAL)

If you wish to be considered for a fellowship or need-based financial aid, you must select the fellowship you are eligible for and provide the financial information requested below. You may ignore this section if you are not seeking need-based financial aid for a residency. Please note that if you are awarded a need-based subsidy, you may be asked to provide income documentation.

Select all that apply. DO NOT select a fellowship until you have confirmed that you meet the fellowship's requirements. To view the full list of our available fellowships and their qualifications, visit: assetsforartists.org/financial-aid

Would you like to be considered for partial need-based financial aid?

  • Yes, please consider me for partial need-based financial aid (please answer the following financial questions).
  • No, I am only interested in one of the available full fellowship residencies listed above, not a regular residency (please answer the following financial questions).
  • No, I do not need any financial aid (you can skip the following financial questions)

If you have selected to be considered for one of the fellowships above but do not receive one of the very competitive fellowships, and would like to still be considered for a residency at the Studios with partial financial aid, please select yes.

The already subsidized, full weekly cost of attending the Studios is $650/wk. Those who are able to pay this full rate help make it possible for those who cannot pay full cost to receive partial scholarships.

Everyone who does not receive a full fellowship is expected to pay some portion of their residency fees.

Approximately what is your current annual household income (before taxes)?

  • Less than $25,000
  • $25,000 to $50,000
  • $50,000 to $75,000
  • $75,000 to $100,000
  • More than $100,000

Please include income earned by yourself and your spouse / partner or other dependents. Do NOT include income earned by roommates.

Which range describes your household's approximate net assets?

  • Below $0 (debts exceed assets)
  • $0 to $50,000
  • $50,000 - $100,000
  • More than $100,000

To calculate your household's net assets:

Add together the value of all assets (bank, investment, and retirement accounts) held by members of your household, then from that subtract the value of all debts (credit cards, student loans, medical debt, etc.) owed by household members.

To keep things simple, don't worry about including the value of your home / vehicles / furniture / jewelry / artwork.

How many people live in your household?

Please include yourself, spouse / partner, and other dependents. Do NOT include roommates.

Are you a homeowner?

  • No, I am a renter
  • Yes, I own my own home (mortgaged)
  • Yes, I own my home outright

+ Equity Consideration (optional):

Optional. Recently, the Studios has implemented additional points in the scoring rubric for equity considerations in order to better support those historically marginalized within arts institutions/opportunities. If there are any additional factors you'd like the jury to consider, please elaborate here. This may include considerations of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability, status as a care-giver / parent, veteran, immigration status, financial difficulty, etc.
