We’re hiring: A4A Artists Program Manager

Since the pandemic began, A4A has substantially grown the number of artists we serve with workshops, coaching, and grants, so now it’s time to add to our staff, too.

We’re looking for a dynamic, people-oriented arts leader to manage programming we do in central and eastern Mass, as well as our statewide work across MA, CT & RI. This means overseeing workshops, coaching, cohort-work, and artist grants with our partners across southern New England and our team of 30+ trainers. Meanwhile our stalwart Briana Halpin will be doing the same alongside you for our growing programming in Western Mass and the Berkshires.

To best serve the communities in which we work, our ideal candidate lives in central or eastern Mass and is interested in a full-time, remote job, with the capacity to get to North Adams once a month for in-person team meetings. We’re also happy to welcome folks living in or looking to relocate to North Adams. We love working with practicing artists (most of our team are artists themselves) and program alumni, but we’re excited to work with anyone who’s enthusiastic about bolstering artists, and especially artists of color, in our current cultural economy, as we collectively envision a better, more equitable space for all artists to thrive.
