With the COVID-19 pandemic’s devastating effect on practicing artists, Assets for Artists has redesigned its business and financial education programming to provide artists with new, crisis-focused, distance-learning opportunities that largely retain the intimate cohort-focused style of our in-person workshops.

We are thrilled to bring a new webinar exclusively to Rhode Island artists! UPDATE: Now open to MASSACHUSETTS AND CONNECTICUT ARTISTS TOO!

All A4A workshops are FREE and held via Zoom, with pre-registration required to keep the webinar cohorts at a size that maximizes participation and peer support.

NEW OFFERING!

“Marketing in the Time of COVID” w/ Jessica Burko.
Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020 | 2:00 - 4:00 PM

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected every industry around the world, including the arts. Most gallery shows have been put online, along with open studios events, portfolio reviews, networking events, lectures, and more. Working artists need to implement new strategies for connecting with audiences, showing work, and generating sales. The good news is there’s technology available to assist with these goals, and because people are lacking outlets for real life interactions more time and attention is spent online seeking engaging content.

This webinar will give an overview of general Arts Marketing best practices then focus in on how those concepts can be integrated into an exclusively digital model. Topics will include developing and strengthening website content to capture the attention of audiences and lead them to engagement, maximizing Instagram strategies using Stories and Live features, and how to strengthen the use of email marketing. Jessica Burko is a Boston-based exhibiting artist, arts marketing professional, and programming manager and curator at the Photographic Resource Center. Best suited for visual artists.

UPDATE: Now open to any artist in Connecticut, Massachusetts or Rhode Island! Priority will be given to rural RI artists.

BONUS PERSONAL BRANDING ADVICE: Rural Rhode Island artists who register will have the opportunity to sign up for an additional 30 min video consultation with Jessica on their branding and marketing strategy. We will reach out directly to registered artists with details.
