Call to Artists

The Bennington in Bennington, Vermont announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 10 – July 22, 2017. David Rankin, a very respected artist and world traveler, has been tasked with selecting a show that focuses on the wilder parts of this world in which we live. Landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and scenes that portray the artist’s love for his or her natural surroundings will be considered. Work must be completed in a fine art medium such as oil, pastel, bronze, graphite and watercolor. There are no size limitations but please keep in mind that artists are asked to pay for shipping. More info

Call for Photographers: Center for Fine Art Photography

Photographic art as response to environmental concerns, human rights, personal freedoms, religions, governments and the global human condition. Send us your photo-based work that fits the call. All genres, subjects, capture types and photographic processes both traditional and unique are eligible for selection by the juror. Let’s start some much needed conversations!

Solo Exhibition Call

Applications are currently being accepted for the CUE Art Foundation Solo Exhibition’s Open Call. The Solo Exhibition Open Call provides emerging and under-recognized artists the necessary time and resources to present an exhibition at CUE in 2018. The selected artists will receive valuable mentor support from one established curator on the selection panel including a studio visit and installation guidance in preparation for the exhibition, in addition to a $5,000 honorarium, and an accompanying exhibition catalogue with an essay written by a participant in CUE’s Art Critic Mentoring Program.

Call for Entry: ArtSpace Maynard

ArtSpace Maynard invites artists in all media (no video) to submit proposals for one month solo or group shows on a coherent theme for 2017-2018. Preference given to New England artists. Gallery is 1,800 square feet, 150 feet of linear wall space. Submit online via Café Call for Entry at artspacemaynard.com/proposals between March 1 and May 15, 2017.

Call to Artists

Post Office Gallery on Cape Cod in North Truro, MA invites visual artists to participate in their 6th Annual Open Call Juried Exhibit. Selections will be based on artistic and creative quality, interpretation of the theme and space allotment. There is no fee to enter. Retail price assumes a typical 50% gallery commission. All medium will be considered, including sculpture. You may submit up to three high resolution jpeg images (named with its title) of your work in any medium along with any questions to: director@PostOfficeGallery.com. Please include your name, and the title, size, medium and support of each piece and any questions in the body of your e-mail.

Call for Art: Peripheral ARTeries

Peripheral ARTeries is looking for artists to be featured in the new Biennial Edition of their art publication that will explore and show current trends and tendencies in Contemporary Art. Open to all forms of art and media with a particular focus on works capable of challenging the viewers’ traditional perspective on art itself. There are no entry fees and each artist may submit a maximum of three works or projects made in any technique.

Juror: Calvin Liang, a highly respected member of the Oil Painters of America and the California Art Club. Work is not limited to subject and each year this show offers our patrons a very impressive collection of work by many of today’s finest artists. Representational work completed in a fine art medium (no photography at this time) will be considered. The Augusta Savage Gallery at UMass Amherst is currently accepting artist submissions of work that considers Home as the subject of their creations. A story must accompany the artwork.
